HUGO BARRIOL (FR)

Hugo Barriol was born in Saint-Etienne, France, but began his solo music career far from home, busking in Sydney, Australia. He flew back to Paris, busked for a year and a half and won the Metro Music Awards in Paris in 2015 and recorded his debut EP in 2017. The 1st single « On the road » reached more than 10 million streams.
In 2018 Hugo recorded his debut album “Yellow” at the Church Studio, London, produced by Ian Grimble (Mumford and Sons, Bear’s den, Daughter). «I wanted to work with someone who knew how to produce proper folk music so I started looking at who was behind the artists that I loved and I found Ian! »
2 years after touring all across Europe solo and with his band, Hugo went back to the church studio with Ian to record a new Ep « Hey Love » featuring Joe Bel on the french edit of his single « Hey love ».
