Having lived as a busker for a decade, cast adrift in Europe, Sam Dale landed in Sweden five years ago and has since started working on songs in Bad Swedish. There is an immediacy to expressing oneself through the medium of a broken and imperfect tongue that lends itself to rock n roll. Not the delivery, but the sentiment takes centre stage. This is the background for these songs; a foreign outcast expressing alienation in a barely mastered language. A folk music for an alienating and foreign world. Welcome to the attempt.
