Maltese-born Alexandra Alden has lived in three different countries and moves house at least once a year- not necessarily due to her own choosing. For some reason, she can’t seem to stay put in one place for too long. It’s in the midst of these transitions that Alden’s songs come to life, signalling the end of a chapter and the start of a new one.
Recently, she sat as a judge on X Factor Malta which turned Alexandra into a household name, where she also became known for her outspoken, bold statements in favour of Women’s Rights and Environmental Sustainability. Alden is never one to shy away from engaging with her audience.

Her lyric-focused sound is dense with poetry and philosophical musings, blended with mature indie folk-pop tendencies which also saw a string of number one songs in her homecountry as well as the growth of a steady cult following.

She has embarked on solo acoustic tours across the Benelux during Popronde (2018) an Horizontoer (2019), whilst winning awards for her full length debut release ’Wild Honey’ which is an ode to the natural beauty of the countryside and mourns the loss of a loved one. Besides this, she also toured through Denmark and Sweden in 2018 to promote this album, whilst beginning her writings for her upcoming release ’Leads to Love’ on the island of Gotland, which will be released this autumn.

’Following the release, Alden plans to tour Europe with a full band line-up as opposed to her usual solo acoustic sets, to promote her new album. She has already performed at the infamous De Roma in Antwerp to positive reviews as well as Dutch TV broadcast ’2 meter sessies’ that has been visited by the likes of Radiohead, Nirvana, James Taylor and many more.

The 2022 ’Leads to Love’ album tour seeks to engage with new audiences and will be supported by the Arts Council Malta.’
