NOT DEMURE (ES)

NOT DEMURE (ES) is a live performer, producer and DJ from Argentina based in the Balearic Islands. He took his craft to the next level during the pandemic. His instinctive coping mechanism has been to immerse himself in the studio and translate his hopes for a better future into musical melodies.

SOUND
To this day, his style still has a unique signature vibe, and the artist is deeply tied to the sound and vibe of the world’s buzzing progressive and organic house scenes.
Not Demure’s beats are often groove-driven and very distinctive due to his use of motifs, layered sounds and textures giving his songs a dreamy and cinematic quality that makes them immersive. The formula is catchy but also impactful, offering a fantastic aural reward for conscientious listeners especially.
In addition to the personable production value in his tracks, Not Demure is also able to create very detail-oriented music, making for a lively, edgy, and stark sonic approach. Many subtle nuances in his releases add to the richness of the listening experience. The frequency spectrum of his mixes is also very balanced, with a tight yet deep low end working wonders and a smooth top end, which adds a sense of clarity to the music.

BIO
Manuel has demonstrated artistic talent early and began studying violin at the age of 9. Two years later he was already part of his first musical group, making instrumental interpretations of The Beatles. During high school, he formed a rock band where he performed as lead vocalist and second guitar. Soon, however, he discovered synths and drum machines; combined with his love of “jamming”, this changed his musical direction forever.

Today, he continues to create great music and perform some amazing remixes, some of which have reached Beatport’s sought-after Top 10 chart.
Even many big names in the industry have caught on and become aware of Not Demure’s work. These include Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Sébastien Léger, just to name a few.

LIVE
In addition to his studio recordings and remixes, Not Demure excels as a live performer. His sets are very diverse, as he can play in different formats.
Live set, DAW-less set, DJ or even a hybrid setup. Often bringing instruments along for the ride, spicing up his sets with live vocals, synthesizers or drum machines.
To date, he has performed several live sets, receiving great responses from audiences across Europe and South America, sharing booth with artists like Alex Orion, Kamilo Sanclemente, Clarian, Graziano Raffa, Recondite, Mike Griego, Anja Schneider, Bart Skills, Tapesh, Archie Hamilton, Gonçalo, Golan Zocher, Abity, Agustin Giri and Matias Sunblad.
2022 was his ADE’s debut. Participating in the Movement x Just Movement Showcase at NL CLUB and the Clubbing TV series.

It’s only been about five years since Not Demure got his start in the industry, but he has already accomplished a lot, and is steadily carving out his own way to the global stage.
