About SAMA:
The Scottish Alternative Music Awards (SAMA) recognises the best new Scottish music, shining a spotlight across an eclectic range of contemporary music genres. Throughout the year, SAMA also host key events including a two-day music festival in Paisley, Scottish Showcase at Liverpool Sound City, plus host PITCH – Scotland’s conference of hip hop and underground culture. Now in it’s 14th year, the SAMAs have supported a range of award winning artists including Bemz, Taahliah, Steg G, Zoe Graham, GALLUS, Gerry Cinnamon, Be Charlotte, Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5, Fatherson and Lewis Capaldi. About Pitch:
Pitch is Scotland’s conference of hip hop and underground culture hosted in Glasgow. Aiming to inspire and encourage all from age 16 and above, Pitch Scotland will feature representatives from across the music industry, plus skills workshops, panel discussions, speed-meeting sessions and performances, including DJ sets, open mic, spoken word and a live international showcase.
Pitch Scotland is presented by the country’s new music champions the Scottish Alternative Music Awards (SAMA) in partnership with Creative Scotland, and PRS Foundation.
