BETH URDANG (US/SE)

BETH URDANG (US/SE)

Beth Urdang is a sought-after music supervisor working in film, television and advertising, both in the US and throughout Europe.

Urdang got her start as the (first) in-house music creative/supervisor at Wieden & Kennedy advertising, working on US and global campaigns for Nike, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, ESPN and Miller/MGD. She quickly became known both for finding gems and working with bands (both up-and-coming and known) to create original music.

After moving to Amsterdam to similarly handle music creative for W+K Amsterdam, Urdang returned to New York in 1999 to start the acclaimed independent music-supervision company Agoraphone. Urdang and Agoraphone were associated with finding and overseeing the music for some of the best-known spots and campaigns of those years.

In 2013, Urdang started The Selfsame Organization (US) and Selfsame Industries (SE) and began to split her time between NYC and Sweden, focusing more on television and film, including TV series such as DICE (20th Century Fox/Showtime), The Carmichael Show (20th Century Fox/NBC), Comrade Detective (A24/Amazon Studios), Playing House (NBC Universal), Jerrod Carmichael comedy specials for HBO; and films like Turn Every Page, Sia’s film debut ˆMusic, and Search Party — while continuing to work on larger, global advertising campaigns for brands such as Booking.com, Nike, Facebook, Instagram, Grey Goose, and others.

Urdang is now based primarily in Sweden and continues to work on projects around the world.
