BACKLINE

This is the basic backline for gig places with drums. Drumkit without breakables, a drumkit with hi-hat stool and kick, and no cymbals.

A guitar amp, what brand will depend. If you are totally dependent on a certain amp with a certain sound, bring your own amp.

A bass amp, what brand will depend. If you are totally dependent on a certain amp sound, bring your own amp.

Vocal microphones will be there in depend on how many you need. So tell us how many sing even backing vocals. Or you need one for Saxophone or similar.

Extras are a Keyboard stand and DI box, tell us if you need that.

WE DON’T HAVE cables to the instruments. So bring guitar cables and such. In Sweden, we have 220 volts in our sockets. Bring your own adapters.

ALL STAGES

We have people at each stage who try to help as much as possible. We have a sound engineer if you don’t have one with you. The lights are kind of static, so you won’t need a light engineer. Be at the stage at least 20 min before your gig. We don’t have soundcheck only line check. We have 20 min changeover between each act. Be fast to leave the stage with your gear for the next act. Don’t line-check too long. If you overgo your time it will be cut off your stage time and many of the professionals might just come to see the first part of the gig to be able to see several artists so start in time. You will be cut off when your time is up to hold the time schedule.

A tip-off is to actually practice changeover. The most professional artists we see on showcase festivals change over in under 5 min and set their sound during the first song. We know that many professionals look at this part when they choose to work with artists so see it as a part of a showcase.
